family: noun [fam-uh-lee, fam-lee]

Of all of the joys in my life, nothing is greater than what my family gives me.  I remember this on the more difficult days as a mother and draw strength from these joyous moments.  I think of the sweet hugs on my leg, kissing their baby soft cheeks, tickling, laughing, hearing that they love me and thinking of how much I love them.  I dream of this baby girl still growing inside me and wonder about the even greater expanse of joy we will all experience with her arrival.  Time is so precious and I try to grab on to these sweet moments and store them away.

These sweet moments were captured by Utah photographer, Mikki Platt, during our January vacation to Utah.  I’m amazed by her wonderful talent to capture so much love and joy in such a short period of time.  I have many more photos that I will try to share in another post, but this sequence seems to be my favorite.  To learn more about Mikki Platt and see her portfolio, visit her website here.

See? Pure joy, huh? What brings you the most joy?
