As promised…

Ta-da-da-da!!!!  It feels so good to mark off #51 Finish the school room remodel off my list.  After we were done, I wanted to sleep on the school room floor to soak in the spoils of our efforts.  Does everyone remember what it looked like before?  If not, see it here.

And now…

More individual posts to come.  I’m heading off to relax after all of my hard work.  :)

{Special thanks to Mom, Dad, Jen, Stephanie, JR & Asher.  You guys are the best.  A million thanks to the love of my life.  I am forever indebted to my wonderful husband who works alongside me and never complains about my crazy designs.  I love you.}

    It looks fantastic! What a great work space for the boys to do fun and educational activities. I also love the alphabet wall and book holder. AND the red chair and the little red desk. It’s a great punch of color against the cool blue walls. I know I’ve said this before but I’m loving your design for their desk. I’m sure many people will be inspired by your creativity for this space.

    How much do I love this space! My favorite part, besides building the table yourself, is the button as the “O”!

  9. Lori!!!!! It is AMAZING!!!!! You must want to live in that room! :) I love the alphabet wall (i may have to steal that idea if I can find space) and the book holder is an amazing idea! So much easier then book shelves for the small kiddos. And the chair is so awesome in red! I love red! The colors are just perfect! You did a wonderfuf job and I’m sure that you will be able to do so much more learning now that things are set up well! I wish my weekend had such beautiful results. If you lived closer I would so have you come over to my house for a consult!
    And thanks for the acknowledgement. It was really sweet of you! I love how the calender works in your room! The colors on it actually look good! Yeah! I hope you all have a million house of fun in your new room!

    Thank you everyone! I’m glad it was a hit. It makes all the hard work worth it. And yes, I DO want to live in that room. School was so much fun today. Everyone has a new boost of energy and now we have circle time with our new calendar!!! Now, if only I could get Asher to sit down for circle time. He’s soooo wiggly. I think I’m going to start with a wiggle song so they can get their wiggles out. LOL.

  11. What a wonderful space! Thanks so much for sharing all the beautiful pictures. We made those egg carton caterpillars too…so cute!

    Wonderful! We r giving our piano away. We live in an tiny home with lots of love throughout. Our dinning room will be the classroom, once the piano has a new home. We will have one again. :) We are going to also us Ikea. We have a small set of shelves like the ones you have, with the green bins. Ikea also has wood trays you can slide in instead of the green bins. I am trying to figure out how to create some type of barrier on each side of the wood trays so lessons don’t fall off…..

      Setting up a classroom is so much fun. I’m about to reorganize mine and add new works to our shelves for the next year. Good luck in your planning. I bet you’ll love your new classroom. :)

    I found your blog through Pinterest and I am wishing and hoping I can do the same kind of thing with my playroom. I have three girls ages 4, 2 and 6 months. I could use some advice from someone like you on starting Montessori space for learning and exploring. I LOVE your school room. It is very inspiring.

      Thank you, Katie. That’s very sweet of you to say. I’ll plan on addressing your question in a post next week. Is that ok? If you need an answer sooner, just let me know and I can email you some info. I just find that so many people have the same questions so I like to post about it so it can help guide all of the readers. :)

    Saw this on pinterest! What color did you use for the walls?

    • Lori says:

      Sorry for the late reply. This is the first time I’ve been online all week. This last month of pregnancy is consuming all of my time. ;) The paint color we used for our school room is Sherwin Williams Tradewind SW6218.
