We couldn’t resist making a Hand Turkey Family tonight. Even with all of the hectic packing and planning and cooking, it’s fun to take a break and take some family time.
Then, I attempted to get some photos of the boys with the hand turkeys. Asher was way too interested in admiring his work, while JR froze with his ”cheese” smile. It’s comical so I decided to post the entire sequence of photos for your enjoyment. :)
We’ll be on a holiday break from school until Monday. I may post a family photo with the hand turkeys tomorrow if I have a break in the cooking line up. I’m also hoping for a break to watch the parade. I LOVE watching the parade. For those of you traveling, have a safe trip! And most importantly have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Love this- saw it on Pinterest. Would you mind if I shared it for a Thanksgiving crafts post I’m doing?
I’d love for you to! Will you include a link back to my blog post? Thanks for liking the craft enough to share it and happy {early} Thanksgiving! :)
Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your CUTE turkey idea! Our family made our version this evening. I hope I can find a frame that it will fit in so I can display it every year. Here’s where I posted a photo and a link back to your site: http://campgroundcubs.blogspot.com/2011/11/gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble.html
Thanks for linking back. Your version turned out so cute! I love it. Happy Thanksgiving!
What kind of paper did you use for this? I love it!
The large sheets of white paper you can find in the art area of Michaels or Hobby Lobby. It’s a heavier weight paper used for drawing. Thanks for loving it. :)
Can you tell me what kind of paint you used? Thanks so much!! Looking forward to doing this. Hopefully my 14 month old will cooperate :)
We used tempera paint. You could also use acrylic or craft paints. Just don’t use oil paint because of the toxic fumes. Plus, wash your hands with soap and water immediately after so nobody ingests the paint. Good luck!
